Vilcabamba Vision Board Success

Some Law of Attraction in Action…

The following is a tale of manifestation.  Only six months ago we discovered the existence of Vilcabamba, Ecuador. And six months later, today, we arrive!

Our Vilcabamba Greeting This Morning

A photo very similar to this one above was on the desktop of our Mac for the last six months–a vision board of sorts.  Memo to self:  it worked!

We actually arrived in Vilcabamba last night in the dark.  We randomly chose a hotel whose name I remembered, Hosteria Izhcayluma, from a flyer at our Cuenca hostel. Blind to our surroundings, we settled into our beautiful room and swung on the porch hammocks in a gentle night breeze anticipating a stunning vista at dawn.

Lazy Hammocks at Hosteria Izhcayluma

Morning arrived, the door was swung open, and there was the EXACT view (from our computer’s desktop) we had yearned for the last six LONG months. What a synchronistic treat!

Hosteria Izhcayluma Rocks!

The family makes its way to the complimentary breakfast only to be thrilled by a breathtaking outdoor patio restaurant with an even better view of the countryside and town of Vilcabamba.  Hosteria Izhcayluma is fabulous in many ways but absolutely worth the stay due to it’s view.

We paid $10 per person ($30 total) for a spacious, immaculate room with 2 beds, desk, shelves, free wifi, hammocks, super clean shared bathrooms, pool, movies, games, free water, landscaped grounds, free breakfast of fresh fruit, bread, butter, jam, eggs or crepes, coffee, tea, juice–and view.

Yummy Sambuca Cafe

Our tasty lunch at Sambuca Cafe in the center of town not only satisfied our appetites for healthy, organic cuisine, but also provided a pleasant space for us to meet new friends.  We spent the afternoon with super nice expat locals in their home talking about life in Vilcabamba.  Tomorrow morning I help them with a video project (with other projects in the works).  How’s that for being in the flow?  Vilcabamba is already working its magic on us.

Anyone else had any cool vision board successes??  What do you think?

What you said is so true! Things always turn up you just need to chill. Although, I have found myself homeless a couple of times. Even that was fun.

Yes! Trust! It’s hard to do when you think you need something NOW! It sure is fun when it works
